We are building an innovative tech news upvoting platform designed to empower communities with seamless link submissions, job postings, events, and more. Role Overview: As a Full-Stack Developer, you will lead the end-to-end development of our social upvoting platform. You will work on both front-end and back-end systems, ensuring a seamless and responsive user experience. Your role will also involve designing and optimizing databases, implementing user interfaces, and ensuring the overall performance and scalability of the platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop the MVP including front-end, back-end, and database architecture.
- Design and implement features like link submissions, job postings, and event listings.
- Build an invite-only system to control user onboarding.
- Optimize the platform for performance, security, and scalability.
- Collaborate closely with our design and product teams to bring the platform’s vision to life.
- Ensure the site’s UX/UI is clean, intuitive, and highly responsive across devices.
- Maintain well-documented, reusable, and maintainable code.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues across the stack.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Full-Stack Developer, with a strong portfolio of web applications.
- Expertise in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks).
- Strong back-end development skills such as FLASK and Python,
- Experience with database management systems (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
- Expertise with AI coding assistance such as Replit Agent or others
- Proficiency in building secure, scalable, and responsive web applications.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with integrating AI/ML tools or APIs is a plus.
- Experience with version control (Git).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience building social platforms or upvoting systems
- Knowledge of real-time notifications and messaging systems.
- Experience with invite-only community platforms.
- Background in implementing job posting or event management features.
