Interested in startups and innovation? FoundersBeta.com is an online hub for startups to connect with talent, funding, and resources to build companies. We are looking for a talented developer to work on one of our projects in the lab. This is an early-stage startup idea with a working MVP.

As we expand, we are looking for a passionate and results-driven Business Development Rep to join our team. This role will focus on building relationships with employers, promoting job fairs, documentary film, and driving revenue growth. This is an opportunity for students or recent graduates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employer Acquisition: Identify and build relationships with startups and companies looking to hire talent. Pitch the value of our job fairs and secure their participation.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a sales strategy to meet or exceed revenue targets for job fairs and related sponsorships.
  • Event Management Collaboration: Work closely with the events team to align on employer needs, ensuring a seamless experience for participants.
  • Market Research: Analyze industry trends and employer needs to tailor offerings and identify new business opportunities.
  • Partnership Development: Cultivate long-term partnerships with companies, HR agencies, and startup ecosystem stakeholders.
  • Reporting & Feedback: Provide regular updates on sales progress, feedback from employers, and suggestions for improving job fair offerings.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:  Experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in recruitment, HR tech, or startup ecosystems.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
    • Proven ability to close sales and meet revenue targets.
    • Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple leads and events.
  • Knowledge:
    • Familiarity with startup ecosystems and recruitment processes is a plus.
    • Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and event management platforms such as Eventbrite is advantageous.
  • Attributes:

    • Collaborative team player who thrives in fast-paced environments.
